The Future Is Now

Hate using a mouse? (Real question: Are you that lazy?)

Well, in the near future, there will be no need for those irritating plastic ratones (that’s spanish for mice).

I CONTACT, designed by Eun-Gyeong Gwon & Eun-Jae Lee, is essentially a mouse attached to your eyeball. Like contacts worn today, these will fit to your eyes–only I CONTACT is laced with sensors that track your eye movements, relaying to a receiver at your computer.

One has to wonder how something like that will be powered. I guess by that point we will be the power source.

Creepy? yes. Kinda cool? yes. Minority Report inspired? I hope not.

Long exposure shots of bugs under a street light. Who would think something like that could look so cool?!

People should write more often…

…It makes all news better.

Roots

Love is a temporary madness; it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part.

Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of eternal passion. That is just being in love, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.

Those that truly love have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two.
